A black nocturnal leoρaɾgecko is a colony form of the leoρaɾdo gecko (Eubleρhaɾis maculaɾius), a species of lizard that is native to the arid regions of Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and parts of India. The black night moɾfo is characterized by a dark, almost black coloration, with white or yellow spots, streaks or bands on the neck and tail.
Leo geckos are a popular choice for pet enthusiasts as they are relatively easy to care for and have a docile temperament. They are also known for their unique ability to shed their tails when threatened or handled, which can then come back to the tail.
Negative nocturnal leoρaɾdo geckos, like all leoρaɾdo geckos, are nocturnal and feed on insects such as gɾillos, threadworms, and earworms. It requires a warm, dry environment with a sunny side that reaches around 90°F and a warm side that stays around 75°F. Proper diet, temperature, and housing are critical to the health and well-being of any Leo gecko, including the black night gecko.
