2024 is building up to be a watershed moment for Inter Miami.
Not only have they signed Luis Suarez, but they are also in talks with free agency wing back Julian Gressel.
Furthermore, the Herons are in preliminary talks with ex-Manchester United center back Marcos Rojo regarding a possible move.
All of these roster signings indicate that Miami will face high expectations next season.
The South Florida club’s 2023 season concluded on a low note.
Despite winning the Leagues Cup in the summer, the Herons were unable to advance to the playoffs owing to weariness, injuries, and foreign commitments. The Fort Lauderdale team’s roster will be refreshed to avoid this happening again.
“We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club.”
Already, the arrival of Suarez, as well as the potential acquisitions of Gressel and Rojo, will benefit Miami in two ways.
However, with only a few weeks till preseason begins, the Herons still have a lot of work to do.
Nonetheless, Messi will be able to win additional trophies in 2024 despite Miami’s hectic preseason schedule and roster makeover.
The guys in pink will compete in a number of events and competitions, which could result in them adding to their trophy collection.
Messi and the squad are vying for the MLS Cup, US Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions Cup, Leagues Cup, and Supporter’s Shield.
It remains to be seen whether manager Tata Martino can guide them there. However, the current lineup displays flashes of hope.
